HCS eMR utilizes multi-factor authentication (MFA) in a variety of ways to enable additional security around several key workflows.MFA can be enabled before log in using Active Directory connections into third party tools for digital verification on a secondary device or by using barcode technology to read an employee badge to verify the person logging in is who they say they are. Within the HCS Clinicals, MFA can be performed using barcode technology when performing actions that would normally require a signature (ordering or administering medications or signing documentation). MFA can also be performed using third party tools for tokenized verification for ePrescribing of Controlled Substances.
HCS eMR uses the latest technologies to ensure our providers are properly credentialed before accessing, entering, or modifying your patient’s health information.
