HCS Connect
The HCS Connect integration tool provides a direct link to Truven Health Analytics educational content. With a single action—a mouse right-click,keystroke, or mouse click on a bubble, floating bubble, or button—a clean package of patient education is generated based on data within the hospital information system (such as demographics, problems, medications, and lab results) and transferred to the legal medical record.
HCS Connect works across several hospital information systems. To date, HCS Connect is implemented within the following EHRs:

To support Meaningful Use Standards, HCS Connect enables a user to electronically identify and provide patient-specific education resources based on:
- Problem List
- Medication List
- Laboratory Test Results
HCS Connect electronically records the numerator and denominator and generates a report including the numerator, denominator, and resulting percentage associated with each applicable meaningful use measure.
